Personaly i think the 250 is weak. I can feel the diffrence in HP between a 250 and 300 and if its a low RPM 250 motor its even worse!

it will do the job but I dont think you would like the change in HP... Find out if your 300 pump will fit the 250 and just have it timed and swap some parts to get it up to a 300HP

Thanks for the advice Lmackattack. I've never driven a 250 E6 and did know what to expect. I'll check with mack and see if the components will swap to get a 300 out of this block. Thanks again

Hello. I have an 81 r model tandem dump that needs an engine and I found a Em6 250 for a song! Were these good engines? Also would a dynatard swap from a junk Em6 300?Truck would be used for hauling rock for gas field service?

Hey Yall. New to the forums and was curious about what I may run into. The truck in question is a 1990 DM 800 that needs a new cab. I have a U model cab that is in great shape for a donor. just wondering what the Penn dot my say about the cabs being from different models? I have the title to the U and DM. Thanks for any insight.
