  1. Is she a Freedom truck? Either way, she is pretty!! My back is pretty shot as well. Years of being in an excavator, logging and building houses have not been kind to me. A good set of seats is going to be something I don't waste time or money on. I will take more pictures and videos to share then anyone can handle, so no worries there 😅😅
  2. I am just praying that this doesn't slip through my fingers. There are so many factors involved and being winter, I'm struggling to put all the cash together since work is deathly slow. I'm scared shitless, I'm not going to lie!! I thought I'd be farther ahead honestly and the worst part is I have people counting on me to have her on the road and hooked up to a lowboy in like 2 months time...
  3. Thank you so much!! I haven't taken possession of it yet but I am sure I will cry like a little baby when I do
  4. Hey y'all, so if you have seen my other post, I have made a deal to buy my childhood dream truck off it's original owner!! It is literally THE truck that put the Superliner on top of my bucket list and made me want to be a truck driver!! A truck that I have dreamed about since I was 5 or 6 years old!! The truck is a 1987 Mack Superliner Freedom Edition. It is far from perfect as it has sat for many years but still has a lot of life left in her... so... As we approach the 140th Anniversary of Lady Liberty, this Freedom Edition is showing her age. She has weathered decades of work and countless miles-but her soul is still there. You can still feel it. She deserves more than to fade away or be forgotten. Now is the time to bring her back-not as a replica, not as a museum piece, but as a living, breathing reminder of trucking's golden era!! The owners, who were more then gracious to sell me the truck, have put work into it recently but she needs some much deserved love so she can rule the road for many years to come and to preserve a piece of trucking and American history!! All the work will be posted up on my YouTube (and possibly Patreon) from the day I pick it up, till the day she is all done and 100% again!! I have an amazing couple guys here that are willing to help me accomplish this goal. Guys who have been involved in truck building, customizing and restoration for many years If it's something you'd be interested in helping out with, please let me know, I'd be so greatly appreciative!! Preserve History: 1987 Mack Superliner Restoration
  5. Haha, I have their current catalog sitting on my desk as I type this!!
  6. That is a sharp looking truck!! I really appreciate it!! It is truly a dream come true for me. A gentleman in the Superliner group on Facebook said he had his made up by a fab shop near him and will put me in touch when I need work like that done
  7. I really appreciate that, I'll reach out to them. It would be cool to find out how many Superliners vs Ultraliners were built as Freedom trucks
  8. Well I am pulling the trigger on the truck of my childhood dreams!! Never in a million years I'd own the truck that started my obsession with the Superliner!! So not knowing a whole bunch about them when it comes to sourcing aftermarket parts, assuming they are still in production all these years later, I am here for some guidance, lol. I'm currently in search of skirts for both the cab and the bunk. All I can find for Mack is for the CH and newer trucks which I know are a totally new design from the long lasting R model cab and bunk. I am worries it might end up being something I have to have made, which I am not thrilled about but I have a pile of split amber/purple lights I want to run down the side and want to avoid drilling into the actual cab and bunk to install them; though I wouldn't mind going to a larger bunk at some point if my frame allows it. Also, if anyone knows if there are repop Liberty decals out there, I would so be a happy girl to buy a pair!!
