  1. @Vladislav Hit the nail on the head with this! well said. I have quite alot of experience with john pumps and pump timming. Most the John deere pumps are early bosch and rosa-master, but with that the John Deere used many different configuration within the pump houses. changes as far as pump piston bore, bore stroke, over/under fuel spec. injection timing, Rpm and just how the pump is driven eather off the cam shafts or crank gears. I think if you really wanted this done the best route would be have a fuel injection pump set by and good known fuel injection shop.
  2. yeah there are good guys to work with. I'm lucky enough to only live 20 min away. I usually spend more time looking around at other stuff I dont need then what I went there for. 😂😂
  3. Just wanted to give you guys and update. Ended up finding the back-to-back at Manders diesel, had to look through the yard for some time but found one. Fabed up some spacer plates and turned out well. Thanks again@Geoff Weeks @kscarbel2 @BottleHauler84 @Vladislav for all your help.
  4. Just an update. Took a few pictures of some Tags. Looks like per @85snowdog pump and turbo, the Pump# 5163-P14 the the same mack number minus the last three after the dash and the turbo# is s3b-086 so turbo is different. Pump Injection timing is also the same at 20° like your 350 I think it's safe to same this engine is set to 350HP unless you guys think different?
  5. once again thanks @Joey Mack you're a wiz!
  6. @mrsmackpaul I read the form and it sounds like im kinda right about the 4v being the the first econodyne, but I always wondered if there was an overlap from the Maxidyne and the econdyne with the 4 valave head. like I told @85snowdog I will be in the shop tomorrow. I have to peal rubber off all 10 rims since I am switching to 11r24.5 tires ( not my most favorite job...😡😡) I will see if i can find any more tags on the engine.
  7. wow this topic really blew up. Sorry for the delay! I haven't had a chance to get home in the last 2 days but I did zoom in on a picture I had on my phone and the compressor side of my turbo has a curve like your 300HP does. I do know that is more of application specific though. Depending on what application the engine was used for and how the charge pipes a route in that application, but I could be wrong. the turbine side of mine appears to be a little bigger then your 300HP so kinda tough to say. When I get home in the A.M. I will check out all the other tags and compare. really appreciate it @85snowdog.
  8. @mrsmackpaul correct me if im work but what I understand the Econodyne was the most the 4v engines. I could be remembering wrong. I will do some more research on the pump and see if I can find somthing on HP/fuel ratings and let you guys know. Thanks for your help!
  9. @mrsmackpaul Econdyne but that i am unsure of. Econdyne was the first of the 4v from what I understand. I Apologize for my ignorance
  10. 1986 I believe assuming the engine has never been replaced. the intercooler is mounted to front side of the cooling package.
  11. Sorry Paul should have gave that info right off the bat. 1986 Mack Superliner RW613 Mack E6 4V HP?? Assuming 350HP Mack T2090 9 speed mack 4.64 rears with Neway air ride
  12. I have thumbed through it doesn't give me much on diffrent HP ratings. I have a feeling I can find more out in a pump book. I will get some info on the pump tomorrow and do some more research and let you know.
  13. what are you thinking? there is some other "printed" info thats not stamped like vlave lash. Maybe remack? I can find a remark sticker anywhere, if I remember right they put them on the rear valve cover area.
  14. Thanks @BOBWhite I will get some pictures of the pump and door tag tomorrow.
  15. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to check and see what my E6 4V is set to for HP? I'm assuming 350HP. The engine serial Number plate has been wore off so It's unreadable. Was wondering if there is a way to check by maybe looking at the postion of the fuel rack in the injection pump? Not a huge deal if i can't would just be nice to know going forward. Thanks again everyone.
