  1. I’ll see if I can get some pictures tomorrow. I was looking around earlier today and don’t see any evidence of it ever being on the floor. It has just a series 900 turn signal stalk but it could have been replaced at some point. It’s wired for high means on all the time I found out today. I didn’t have a lot of time to mess with it today so for now that’s how it stays. There’s a lot of quirks I’ve been working out with it since getting it, dump trucks seem to be some of the worse for half ass repairs and incorrectly wired messes.
  2. Ok I’ll see if I can find anything tucked up anywhere. I figured I’d ask around before going crazy trying to figure it out. Thanks for the help. Agreed! I don’t why they got rid of the floor switches, cars or trucks lol. Now there’s 300 different functions on one stalk lol.
  3. I know this is a Mack forum but I’ve seen some posts about Autocars on here. I just recently got a 1986 DK64 triaxle and for the life of me can’t find the high beam switch. It’s not on the column or on the floor. Maybe something was changed over the years by a previous owner? I’m not sure. If anyone has a idea I’d appreciate it!
  4. First off let me introduce myself, I’m a full time diesel mechanic and starting my own mobile repair. I have a few good customers as of now. One of which is giving me some grief. It’s a 2000 RD, I went out to it for a crank no start condition. Driver told me the truck just shutoff on him then wouldn’t restart. Go back a few days before it wouldn’t start. The owner went out to the yard the same day and no issues. Same as when I went out 2 days after. Started 6-7 times no problem. No obvious reasons as to why it wouldn’t. Here’s what I checked. cam and crank sensors. (Ohmed out good) Plenty of fuel to the block and injector lines. Fuel pressure 60 psi while cranking. Tried known good ecm. Checked power relays in cab as well as ecm fuses. All over 11 volts when cranking. No loose battery cables, wires at starter relay or frame grounds. Ground relay working properly, even jumped it with large gauge wire. Tried unplugging cam sensor and leaving crank plugged in and visa versa. I’m trying to get ahold of a laptop tomorrow to see if the ecm is seeing engine speed. I am assuming ecm is powering up, electronic malfunction light comes on and goes out. No blink codes present. Left sensor unplugged purposely to confirm ecm flagged it. It set a blink code. It will run all day off ether but that’s not saying much. If engine speed is seen I’m going after vecu next. Sorry for the long post but I’ve read everything on here and on google at this point and trying to see if I missed anything.
