  1. Anyone know how hard liners are todo on this engine?
  2. I took a look at it and you are correct that does have a aluminum frame
  3. I believe it's steel based on the vin, but i should double check that.
  4. thank you all for your suggestions and information, here is a couple of pictures of the truck with the box off, box was getting some welding work done to it and never got put back on the box does come with the truck
  5. hey thanks for the response, thats what my gut feeling is as well, im not 100% sure why its got a dead cylinder, went and fired it up yesterday and it started second crank, but it has blow by coming out the fill tube, it smokes like no other when u give it any sustained throttle, and the rear cylinder isnt getting as warm. im assuming it probably ate the rings or piston but there is no knock, it has good oil pressure, my buddie said they where driving it one day and it just started missing and acting funny
  6. Hi i am 37 and looking at buying a 1978 rl600l dump truck, it currently has a dead cylinder and before i purchase this I'm wondering if inframe kits are even available for this motor, it has the endtb 676, who do u guys trust/ reccomend for inframe parts The truck come from my old boss who's dad has owned it since day 1 and i use to drive it when i worked for him. It sn't going to get used everyday, more of a farm truck use. So not trying have it on the highway he is asking $3500 for the truck and it has new brakes/slacks/aircans/ new clutch and trans as of 3 years ago. The truck has 350k miles on the chassis and as far as I can tell is the original motor. It trying to determine if it's worth putting the money into this to have a solid old truck, thanks for your time
