  1. appreciate your perspective. I should say that this is not a truck that I'm going to be using everyday. Farm application (building roads, etc) and occasionally out to a job site but not my every day rig. o.
  2. Hello all Would like to figure out what Mack truck would best suit my needs. Is there a place to look at all the different models and configurations to better get an idea of what might have been available? I'm looking for an all Mack configuration, pre-2011 (and way older is fine as long as parts availability isn't an issue). Tandem axle with power divider would be great. I don't need a super long chassis or to haul too heavy but ample gear selection and even twin sticks are fine. Looking for something where the entire engine is available to work on via the hood (minimal doghouse configuration) and good turning radius. One piece wheels are also important (don't know what year those became standard). Appreciate recommendations or a site where the models are all laid out. Thanks O.
  3. Cool. This is what I was looking for. On your recommendation I found this info sheet on the Quadruplex and it seems like it would work except it is so old that I'm not finding much for sale. Are there newer / more recent versions of that transmission? Thanks O.
  4. Hello all I'm interested in twin stick transmissions. I've done a few searches but I'm not coming up with the info I'm after, thought I would ask you all to see if it's worth chasing this down further (or if its a non-starter). I'm not a Mack guy so pls forgive me if this is a dumb question. In short, I'm interested in finding out if there's a Mack transmission that will work with an engine that requires an SAE 2 bell housing and has overdrive gears. Is there such an animal? Older units and/or twin sticks are fine (wouldn't mind that at all for my application). Thanks O.
