Low air pressure warning light not coming on at the proper pressure
in Air Systems and Brakes
Posted
I work for a garbage company and we have been getting new trucks in to replace the older ones. We have been having a problem with the air pressure settings, when you lose air pressure the low air pressure warning light is supposed to come on at 60 psi before the tractor protection valve pops out. Our trucks the valve is popping out before the low air pressure light comes on. We have 20 trucks all doing the same, all new withing 2019. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? It's a big safety issue, the warning light needs to come on first to warn you of a problem so you have a chance to get out of traffic before the valve pops out and activates the braking system. Hope someone knows, thankyou
