Yes it is the truck in the pic. Original 460 I guess was problematic so when another truck with a good running engine had an accident they swapped the 460 to the 400 and the engine runs great and smooth, no blow by or smoke. I just wish I had a bit more power in this hilly area. Sounds like. “ if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is”..

I am the only driver yes and I definitely don’t want to tear it up. It is doing the job currently but just very slowly on hills. Would I feel a noticeable difference in pulling power in reality if I had it tuned to 454hp like the 460 factory setting?

I’m not sure who to believe because the diesel shops say I need nozzles and injectors not programming and the tuner guy says just programming and no upgrades for that power level.

I have a 2001 CH613 with an e-7 400 around 800k on engine thar doesnt smoke and doesnt have excessive blow by. I run AG commodities every day up and down hilly terrain in the northeast. im running 85-90k about 4-500 miles per day and I’d like more power dieseltuner out of Tennessee says he can reprogram my ECM to 525hp with no mechanical upgrades needed. is this realistic and has anyone here done that? thanks, Dan

Hello all. I have a 2001 Ch613 with an E-7 400 and an Eaton 10spd. when at highway speed (only in 10th as far as I can tell) I get an intermittent groan which can last a few seconds to a few minutes, generally under load and seemingly coming from right below me. It will just come and go on its own and I can’t make it stop by feathering the throttle but it just stops sometimes even while still under load. I’ve never noticed it in any other gear including 9th at 50 etc. Any suggestions?
