What, a whole fleet of Mack E9 Thumpadynes and NO V-8 emblems on the hood sides?
You need those emblems for when people hear you coming down the Pike and turn to look and say "What the hell was THAT!"

Yep, Air Ride sucks off road in construction too - not enough articulation, can't get the power to the road.

On the R-600 Model trucks what was the reason for the second air filter hose? Did that signify a certain engine model, like the Maxidyne?
Whereas other trucks had a single hose. These are both 1980's era trucks.

That's all the interior plastic gassing off that's clouding up your windows.

Started out driving Macks in the late '70's at Recycling Enterprises in Oxford Ma which had a 6 truck fleet of roll off container semi trailers hauling heavy glass. They had mostly Louisville Fords, but also had a Brockway and a Mack Superliner with a 300+ and 13 Spd RR. That was the smoothest riding and quietest truck I had ever driven at that point.
I drove for WSG in the early 80's, started out in a B81, then into a Western Star semi one of 3 that they had at the time, then into a Mack R model tractor #140 inherited from one of the owner's nephew Mike Sokoloski? when WSG got in 3 new Econodyne R model tractors. Loved that 6 speed Low Hole tranny in #140! Rocky Trotto ran the Scale House, Matteo Trotto was company President, Joe Trotto ran the Shop, and Mike Trotto ran Operations. Left WSG and went to Hood Enterprises in Blackstone off 146 who had a fleet of Peterbilts and paid $4 more an hour. When I came back into the office to tell Mike I was leaving he offered to pay me the same. But I had to get into one of those 425 Cat Petes! Ended up in the Pete named Black Magic.
After leaving Hood's, I went to Smithfield Peat in Rhode Island, mostly drove 350 hp R model tractor with 13 Spd RR and end dump. Sometimes subbed in one of their 5 Mack R Econodyne Triaxles. Those Triaxles had weak rear ends in them, all 5 of them blew a rear once a year. After I left Smithfield Peat I heard the owner never bought another Mack again, went with Kenworths.
I left New England in the early 1990's and moved out to Denver, later relocating to Colorado Springs in 1998 working construction driving end dumps, belly dumps, and side dumps. Worked a job at Rocky Mountain Arsenal pulling double trailer side dumps for 8 months. My last job was driving a Flow Boy trailer for an asphalt paving company, EEE trucking. Forced into retirement late 2015 when I had a stroke at home and the State of Colorado pulled my CDL. Not many Macks out here, EEE only had one in their 35 truck fleet, only one I saw since moving to the Springs, this is definitely KW country, T800/T880's and W900's

Drove a Superliner with a 300+ and a 13 Spd Roadranger around 1979. It had a turbo driven intercooler on the drivers side of the block that whistled like crazy

R-700 question

Did the RWS-700 built 1977-1985 have a 855 cu. in. Cummins engine available? And at what HP ratings?
This model was built in Macungie after Hayward was closed, 6,584 units. Maybe some had an 855 Cummins in it?
