New to the group so figured I could share some of my trucks. My father and I have a small hauling business with some projects on the side. We have a 1986 superliner with an E9 400 and 2 1982 Superliners with E9 440 along with a 1986 R-Model we can say we are die hard Mack guys. Have always looked on the fourms and found any questions I had just never joined the group so thank you all!

What, a whole fleet of Mack E9 Thumpadynes and NO V-8 emblems on the hood sides?

You need those emblems for when people hear you coming down the Pike and turn to look and say "What the hell was THAT!"

OH the good ole days. watching the exhaust warm and change colors. amazing thing for me is ; back in the good days with all the exhaust smoke i never noticed the inside windows of my vehicle get as cloudy as they do today with all the emission BS. and i don't smoke .

That's all the interior plastic gassing off that's clouding up your windows.

  3. I drove for WSG in the early 80's, started out in a B81, then into a Western Star semi one of 3 that they had at the time, then into a Mack R model tractor #140 inherited from one of the owner's nephew Mike Sokoloski? when WSG got in 3 new Econodyne R model tractors.

Rocky Trotto ran the Scale House, Matteo Trotto was company President, Joe Trotto ran the Shop, and Mike Trotto ran Operations.

Left WSG and went to Hood Enterprises in Blackstone off 146 who had a fleet of Peterbilts and paid $4 more an hour. When I came back into the office to tell Mike I was leaving he offered to pay me the same. But I had to get into one of those 425 Cat Petes!
