Yes it was! It was taken in my neighborhood of the Ozone Park/Richmond Hill area of New York City. Scania did sell here in the US but mostly in the north east and for the ten or so years here they only sold 900 trucks until they pulled out of the market. They didn't fair so well for two reasons: lack of a dealership infrastructure and lack of options. For example highway trucks were sold with double frames and spring suspension. Also the lack of dealerships made repairs costly and trucks were down waiting for parts from Sweden.

I keep thinking to my self that I would rather move and drive in Australia. What an awesome driving scene down there. Mack AU models beats any of the crap from Mack USA plus I like the Quantum (although they dont have the MR down there ). You can also buy any number of the euro trucks and hell even Jap trucks of you wanted.
