I understand 100%. I already pull them with my 9900i. Definitely not going to a gunfight with a knife for sure. You would be surprised how many guys are still running trains and 8axle flowboys with 355/380 Mack's. Most of them run in a 50 mile radius around Detroit where it is all flat ground. I'm looking to purchase a 5 axle dump over the winter to put it under. 

Will do Mack Tech! I figure I will put some larger injectors in it or a 460 program from Mack for now and make the most of it. As long as I can get 60 or 65mph out of it. I really like my dog. I already have a 9900 isx500,18sp,3.90. I want to make my dog a working show truck.

Yep I had an 85 superliner with 425cat,15sp ,4.56 and it pulled like crazy over 180,000(not legal of course). Cubic inches make the difference I guess!

So basically even with the 4.42, 44camelbacks it too much for that e7?

Factory specs say it was an 18sp. Who ever had it before me made it a 13. It is a full mi special. Double frame and all. It's old 13000 gallon 6 axle tanker hauler.

Thanks for that info. I see 460's are putting out around 480hp . Is it the same for 427's being underrated also?

Yep, it's all Mack. How do I make that trans an 18sp?

Is my 427,13sp, 4.42 a good setup for pulling gravel trains here in mi. Can I get more power out of my 427?
