I bought it from a guy that had it parked in Squamish. He spent a lot of time rebuilding it was very meticulous. LOL he wasn't the greatest that tightening bolts so I've had to go completely through the truck make sure everything was tight he hadn't put any oil in the power divider so I've had that rebuilt went through the rear differentials to make sure they were good serviced the transmission as well the engine the fuel lines that were on it we're not the proper lines so I had that all replaced down at Mack and the timing was set wrong I just replaced all the wheel bearings and seals. The problem was the truck was parked for a long time and didn't move which is as bad as driving the hell out of them

I have a 93 Mack ultraliner with the 500 E9 V8. Maxi torque 18 speed. Dyna tard engine brake 44 rear diffs I just installed 7inch straight pipes there is 200000 K on the engine 80000 K on a new turbo and heads. The engine is not hard to get parts for. Beauty of this old girl is there are no electronics and I love it. This old girl will out pull tridems going up to Coquihalla pulling in fully loaded set of SuperBs LOL you do have to watch the temperatures. Mine has been completely restored from the ground up and it is beautiful to drive even if I do say so myself

I took my Mack in and got it Timed and valve set by somebody that knows what they're doing with them the E9 500 Works beautifully now. Turns out the last person to set the valves set them on the wrong timing mark the engine brake works much much better now huge Improvement. I will say though it's still not as good as a jake brake on a cat or Cummins. I can live with what I have

Hi guys I've got a 1993 Mack ultraliner it has the E9 500 Mack V8 motor in it. I took it to the shop for a valve set and we discovered that they had been time to the wrong mark. Wondering if anybody else this experience that's and what was the outcome after it was corrected? My fuel mileage has been terrible but the truck had a more than decent amount of horsepower. The engine brake didn't work worth a damn dynatard. I wondering if I can expect any increase in my fuel mileage as well the effectiveness of the dynatard

in Mack Truck Q & A

I wonder if anybody can help me out here. The serial number the cab information that is typically on the door Striker or doorpost is completely worn off. I like to know if there is another location within the cap or on the cob where it is easily accessible for identification purposes I have the serial number on paper but I would like to find it on the truck other than digging through the frame. can anyone help me here? 93 MH613 Ultraliner
