Make good templates and go to a good glass shop. You're ahead in the long run, with new safety glass and a tint if you want it.
ahh, yes tint would be good on a tall windshield.

anybody have a source for windows, i am guessing H62 and H63 will have identical windows, dont know if other models will fit.
-
would anyone have an idea on how much the cab weights?
the obvious answer after bringing it home is heavy, but i was hoping for an actual number
-
hey there.
i`ve got a h62 to.
i can check the vin number of mine and the date of build if that helps .
yes that would be great, more pictures of your truck would be great also.
looks good, i like it. wish my cab was that good.

Ok, so since the frame is long gone to the crusher, confirmed by the previous owner, kind of thought it. had to ask though.
the attached pictures show my plans, i know its not in stock form, but i just cant help but think, it will be so cool to see this rolling down the road again one day.
i plan on putting it on this motor home chassis, with a car hauler bed on the back.

ok, i sent info off to Mack Museum and now the waiting game.

I thought you said you had two tags, One with the chassis number? Chassis number is the VIN.
Like H62T-1034.
oh yes, i didnt know that was the VIN number, i guess i didnt understand that when it was posted above. my fault. showing my lack of mack knowledge.
experience is that thing you get right after you needed it.

Total.
Send the VIN and a donation to the Mack Museum and they will get you the original info for your cab with year built.
how do i get the VIN if i dont have the frame?
-
the chassis # is the VIN,the other tag is cab assembly #. Good find, they only made 64 H62's
ok so i did some reading and found H62's were made from 1954 to 1958. were there 64 made each year or was just 64 total made in the whole span of 5 years production?
just wondering, and without chassis there is no real way to tell which year?
-
what engine would it have had as a gas truck? still says 10 speed over drivers head on plate, shows shift pattern.
-
wow only 64, well guess that rules out asking the local auto parts kid to find parts huh? ha ha
now i have to ponder what to do with than info, original chassis long gone.
-
do you know if they listed the VIN number on the cabs anywhere? the frame is long gone, there is 2 tags on pass side, 1 of them has chassis number. dont know if that was number listed on title or not.
second tag just has AC 154 1346 on it, dont know what that is.
-
my plans would be bring it back to life if possible, I was thinking later model chassis under it though. Cab is dented all over, but floors seem solid.
