  1. With Dayton wheels look at the lip that the lugs tighten up against. If you have the wrong combination of lugs and spacers even though the lug nuts are tight the rim may still be slipping on the spokes If this is happening the lip will show signs of the slippage. Check both inside and outsid rims. The torque rods must be the correct lenght or it will do that also. When I first started driving the ten wheel dump kept blowing the interaxle drive shakt. The owner finally found the right torque rods and the problem was solved. I would contact Mack and make sure the torque rods are the right ones for the axles.

  2. Barry, do you have a full view picture of the red Superliner that is in the header? and could you post it? That paint scheme is similar to the paint on the trucks of the company I work for.

    Thanks

  3. Guys,

Anyone have any recent experience with getting new cab glass cut? Only good piece of glass I have is the back window. So I'm talking windshields, vent windows and door glass.

Appreciate any cost info anyone might have.

I have 2 nos wing windows in the boxes, 2 new door glass windows, 1 good used interior door panel with window regulator(I have to check which side) and a new Mack spot light (that mounts in front roof pillar) in the box. I am located 35 miles northwest of Chicago. I have a $800 offer for the wing windows. I will post pictures later if anyone is interested in the parts.

  4. Hello, my name is Chuck Czaplewski. I just found this forum and joined. I have owned many Mack Trucks int the past. I sold my last Mack in 1987, a1982 R model. I have been operating construction equipent since. I alway like the B model and I found some nos wing windows, door glass and a B model nos spotlite (with the Mack logo on top) for sale and I bought them. Now I have to find a truck to put them on. I am also into historical construction and farm equipment .
