we have a cv713 with an etec engine and the filter base that we purchased didn't have an oil pressure(bypass) regulator in the head. Previous base we have seen have had these in them. is it possible that not all engines require this bypass valve in the oil filter head also called a bracket. my tech says it is to prevent pressure from building up and blowing out the filters. Any help on this issue would be appreciated, being there is a backorder on these brackets

Make sure the interlock is not switched on, newer models have this feature enabled to only allow truck to run 15- 20 mph in the event that the switch is on.
