  1. Probally settiing injector codes with fmi 8. Basically most of the time just nuciance codes. First of all code is for the unit pumps on right side under the chrome shields. Called injectors in system. They are deigned to run in a certain frequency but as pump wears it goes out of range causing a code. We never worry about the code until the engine starts to have missfire when the light is on. Usually a slight missfire. Most of the time there is difference i the way it runs. Basically every aset engine has these codes logged. The older engines had programming to widen the paramters but yours should be the latest. I would just replace the pump one at a time until gone. When engine runni g and u feel it missi g a bit see what code is active by blinking code and replace that one. Drive again but unfortunately only way to fix is to replace pumps.

  2. Nothing inherit that are problems. Some things here and there and truely overal are good. The cups problems have been fixed for the most part with the brand new ones. There have been a couple updates even after the stainless cups came out si if ut has the latest dobe it should br good. Trust me keep it at dealer and it will save u time and money no offense to anyone but chasing codes without the proper info leads to problems. Seen lots of money or parts thrown at stuff when it just needs programmed.

  5. I run a mack dealer and let me tell u some inside info. These engines are so bad for this and hardware has been updated a few times. This makes tje squeal but sometimes after the turbo mount leaks and does it. If done at dealer one year warranty. Proper mack proceedure is to check straightness between the heads and check for smoothness of heads. They may tell u the heads need to come off to fixed right and keep warranty. This does help but i find they still come back in a year or so. Heavy haul trucks always have problems leaking. Personally i wouldnt take heads off for this and would just reuse hardware. Replace gasketa every so often. Also mack procedure is to replace all the high pressure lines but this is eight hundred bucks. If lines are new style there is no need. Long story on that one.

  6. Can get some. My dad started to restore it but for reasons stopped. When he got it the engine was new and tranny was recent. Kind of a sad situation now as it sits outside. Was never winter driven from new.

  7. Oh my god this sounds like a nightmare. From sounds of it they dont know what they are doing. Did this just need oil cooler from the start. Low iil pressure after rebuiltost likely is wrong size bearngs. Hook manual gauge up to verify sensor is right. Is this a dealer? Hope not.
