There is a fellow in Ohio that bought a LTL that had a big Cummins and a quad box in it. Ya, talk about overpowered, but like HK says, it's all in the driver. Keep the power level smooth and it will survive. Hotrod it once and ya it'll come apart real quick.
Thanks for all the help sorry to be a pest but i don't know much about this old Mack but are learning fast thanks to all of you Regards R609

34 or 38k, depending on the springs used.
34, 38, and 44k all use the CRD 92 & 93 carriers.
The 34 & 38k have (8) 9/16 studs on the axle end.
The 44k has (6) 5/8 studs on the axle end.
The 55k has (8) 5/8 studs on the axle end, but that has CRD 112 & 113 carriers
The 65k has (8) studs on the axle also and has CRD95 & 96 carriers.
Thanks R609

Now this is the way things should go. Paul was instrumental in the coordination of picking up, and the delivering of my R model from start to finish. I feel the cost was very fair and am pleased that I could help offset the cost of the operation.
We need more participants in the club like this. As Paul suggests: Let's get an active "need to have hauled list" that is updated regularly, posted for others to use to keep costs afordable.
Thanks again Paul.

I'll get some pictures for you along with part numbers. The tag is still on the turbo, and the manifold piping has casting numbers on the pieces.
Rob
thanks regards Michael

I believe it would have as I was only using about 2/3 throttle via a remote cable. I can't say for sure because there was no pyrometer installed so I don't have/know all the available information. My thoughts are that I hit the mechanical limits of the design. I also purposely did not incorporate any charge air cooling because of underhood room in the average B model.
Rob
Hi and thanks for all the replies, yes my motor is the later one with all the same size head studs. Rob could you tell me what the original turbo was and what i would have to get to set my motor up as per Mack had the kits for Regards Michael R600
