  1. worth 2500 all day long in my eyes. an A model without major rot is like gold. all the sheetmetal is there and is in really good shape. looks like a nice complete truck minus the 5th wheel someone took off and that hard to find Monoshift emblem in the shiftin know. id save it. always liked the A models. if it was near Ny might be in my collection except i have too many already. that is an overhead valve gas engine and was a really good motor back in the day unlike the smaller flatheads which were junk.

I think this is a Diesel, but you might be right.

  2. I have a 3 year old Bulldog and would like to have something to haul my toys around. Not really looking for something too big. Found this one for sale and am going to go look at it tomorrow. I've never owned a Truck, however I do own a 2010 37' RV with a 6.7 Cummins in it.

I've done some reasearch and understand the Engine in this is Junk, many folks had problems with it and swapped gasser's in back in the day. However this one has the original engine with the Oil pressure fed Carb which needs to be full before it will start. I don't know.... maybe a 6bt would be a better fit, but it does have the Mono trans 10 gears.

Not sure if its the T or the H.

Anyways, could really use some advice here.

    1. Truck hasn't run for 2 years, last time it ran, was drug around the yard till it started so the engine does work per Owner.

    2. Pretty much every panel will require hammer dolly work

    3. It will need new rubber

My thoughts are a frame off with a power train change, keeping the existing axles however I don't know squat about these.

Tell me, is this worth $2500 like it is? Am I just dreaming or should I go for a more desirable model (I'd like to stick with Mack).

I have a small 3 car garage (full of Toyota Land Cruisers) at the moment that I could use to redesign it over the next 3 years. I know I will have a bunch of money in it when I'm done, but who needs the comfort of todays full size Pickups when you can have something no one else has? But maybe I'm kidding myself!
