WOW!!! Love those old F models!!! Sure wish I could find or afford one. But....it would just sit there because I'm disabled and can't drive (I have Cerebral Palsy & Hydrocephalus). The reason I'd love to have one is solely because my Father drove one - I believe that it was a '77 Mack COE. I do know that it was white and he always pulled a great dane reefer trailer and hauled eggs, mainly, either to Hiawassee, GA or even up to New York.

Sadly, New York is where he passed away on February 5, 1980 (four days after my Mom's 32nd birthday. He was 38. A massive heart attack felled him while he was at the wheel driving and Mom had to stop the truck by herself. It took her forever to get any other trucker to stop and help but....it didn't matter because Dad was already gone by the time his body hit the wheel.

I used to sit in the truck when in Gainesville, GA while loading/unloading and play with the steering wheel and pretend I was driving. At one point, my father actually put me in his lap and let me sit there while he drove. I was really young - not even three, probably - but I do remember that particular moment.

I sure do miss my Dad and when I see an old F model, it always brings a tear to the old eye and reminds me of what Dad drove. I actually have two pictures of the truck (hooked to the trailer) but....my printer/scanner won't work for some reason so I can't upload the photo.

I adore those "F" model Macks!
