autos burn more fuel than a standard trans....i own a fleet of garbage trucks in NYC....half auto half manual....they burn aprox.10 to 15% more and go thru brakes twice as fast a jake does nothing for it...im lookining into a brake saver that goes on the driveshaft and has electromagnets inside..when you relese the accelorator it slows the truck
-
what i thought was cool about that truck is that it was right hand drive...and what was even cooler something all R models should have come with dual air breathers!!!!
-
i have found that doors off fire trucks are the cleanest .....most fire trucks are garaged all their live......just the mirror mounting is diffrent than a Rmodel....but the same as a F,DM and U model

try a junkyard and look for an old mack fire truck.....they have them inside the cab between the front and back half of the cab.....i already used 1 and it will fit

YES...i did this conversion.....you need the radatior, front cross member, fenders, support rods for radatior, hood and the back of the fenders......if your truck has the flat type bumper you will need to change the bumper to the heavy duty style like on the DM.....GOOD LUCK....if you have any questions you can e-mail me at jony2toes@aol.com
