2004 mack granite no start

Truck ran fine, parked in warm shop. Next day failed to start. Checked for green disease, clear. Finally gave shot of ether, rolled a lot then started, so far has restarted OK runs normally. Any ideas??? :SMOKIE-LFT:Boone
