I reckon that with out a doubt they were the best looking Macks ever made by a long way, R model is probably the second best looking and the series 1 Superliner 3rd

I took some of those photos when I went to see it.

It's an early LTSW with the louvered hood, obviously a Hall Scott.  The production numbers for early LTSWs are below.  Very rare truck, especially with the Hall Scott.

 

1947: 135

1948: 73

1949: 21

1950: 51  (1950 was first year of LTLSW production, 80 of those made)

it's a close call for me; so close it would depend on set-up. take a R700 western, nice paint scheme, some chrome etc. i wasn't a fan of the superliner when first came out vs R's. looking at the "plastic: that's there today=CH----, the superliner is super for a HD lowbed tractor.
