Bigdogtrucker 1,179
My "68 673 T runs great, has a reman Schwitzer on it. Turbo whistle is not very loud at all compared to others with this style Turbo. Thoughts?

I mean you can hear it it's just not overly loud, rev's real quick it's a snappy engine.
Freightrain 2,501
They dont make big boost, so likely wont make a lot of noise like later model engines. Quote Larry 1959 B61 Liv'n Large...................... Charter member of the "MACK PACK"

doubleclutchinweasel 521
Put a harder pull on it and see if it gets any louder! Might not be workin' it hard enough to get enough heat in the exhaust. My 611 didn't make much sound either...bobtailing. The 611 I used to work would get much louder when it was actually pulling. terry 504
I once had a B model with a 711 and the local mack dealer put a turbo on it, it really had a whistle, had alot of people tell me they could tell it was me before they saw me! and it pulled real good in a dump truck. terry
