Popular Post alex g 676
Drove a tandem paystar dump truck one winter with a Detroit. What a brute of a truck. They were definitely built to work. Interesting seeing one with a tilt hood I think I've only seen butterfly hoods
Bullheaded 1,011
Only one thing I love as much as the old Mack's, is the International Paystar. I've drove and owned Paystar's from the old steel hood 6x6 5000's up to my 2005 5600i. Giant frame rails, slipper spring with torque rod front suspension........they were one tough truck.
GA_Dave 1,392
I never noticed this thread until a couple hours ago. I have photographed a handful of Paystars over the years, but all have been in service with fire departments. Popular Post GA_Dave 1,392
The US Air force designated this style an A/S-32P-18. I have photographed 11 of them, in several paint schemes, at various bases around the US. This one serves a civilian FD after being surplussed. Terry T 341
Dave, You should start a thread here like the one that was on Hank's. I know you didn't start that one but it pretty much became yours!

Thanks for the compliment, but this IS a Mack site and I have already posted all my Mack fire apparatus on here. I was simply adding a few pics to a few specific threads on a specific chassis. With all the crap going on in the odds and ends section, I'm half tempted to delete ALL my posts and leave!
Popular Post Freightrain 2,501
Dave, we've had a few members go missing due to "issues" on the board. Don't be another one. I've learned to just scroll right on by the posts with battles going on in them. Just doesn't add anything to my day reading them....so I just ignore them. In time they will slip onto page #2 and forgotten. Another thanks for the pictures you post. 8 Quote Larry 1959 B61 Liv'n Large...................... Popular Post tjc transport 1,150
nothing like an older paystar to make you remember when trucks were trucks, and driver worked for a living!! although now that i am a whole lot older, i kinda like the "senior citizen" kenworth i am in, and do not miss the armstrong steering, flintstone brakes, ac in winter, heat in summer, and quadbox trans. 3 Quote when you are up to your armpits in alligators, it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..
