dsachs77 Posted February 24, 2020 Share Posted February 24, 2020 this problem is intermittent. after a hard pull sometimes the expansion tank pressurizes and acts like it is trying to push fluid through the engine but can't. the coolant low level light comes on. when you release the fill cap it relieves pressure and the coolant raises back up to normal level and low coolant light goes off. it does not do this all the time. it may be 2 hours, 2 weeks or 2months before it does it again. have had to dealership and they cannot figure it out. they have put new expansion tank and everything on it. any ideas on what might cause this. the dealership right now put a bottle filled halfway of coolant on side of radiator and they want to see when expansion tank pressurizes if it sucks coolant from bottle or puts it in bottle. they have the line from pressure cap inside bottle. any ideas would be greatly appreciated Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
