ENGINE MISS

Recommended Posts

2000 CH 460  When I take off after sitting a bit ,like for a stop light I get a little sputter for a second and sometimes a little pop. It only  does it in the lower gears and if I ease into the throttle it doesnt do it at all.  Mack says there is a file called a smoke file that could of gotten a glitch in it. They want to reload the file and see. If that aint it he says replace all the eup pumps.  What do you pros think.?   Another thing NO Codes.

You could try the download how ever if your truck has the XT file you it will not be replaced wit the extra torque file I would have the fuel pressure checked first!

Doesnt have the XT file. When you say fuel pressure do you mean from the supply pump.?  The supply pump is new as of a few months ago..

My 2000 cl when it was new would stumble at random times. A reflash fixed it.

I’d do per FJH recommendation and if nothing else is found install (solder) a 1K ohm resistor in the intake sensor line at the sensor. It will change your emissions slightly, but eliminate the stumble and won’t hurt (possibly improve) performance.

You talking about the sensor that goes in the intake manifold.?   Just cut a wire and splice in the resistor.?  Does it matter which wire.?  Where would I get a resistor like that?  could you send me a link, Please    Thanks

Radio shack. Doesn’t matter which. Leave enough space to take it out if needed.
