Have Fun!  Take some pics.  Wish I could go but I don't see Reno in my weekends plans.

Jim

It doesn't cost anything to pay attention.

I know some of you fellows are not going to like this but I told ATHS to stick it a few years ago don’t have any respect for the whole deal they just take your money and do nothing for you at least that’s the way it is here in Reno when I found out you needed to pay I told them the same thing you’re always out there with your hands out and will see you......bob

have not been a fan of the ATHS since York when we drove down from Ny 5 hours and got hastled for me not having an insurance card and a few friends got hastled for not having an insurance card for trucks ON their trailers that they weren't gonna unload and were registered for the road. they made me pull on the sideline, argued with me, I had to have an insurance card faxed to the show before theyd let me in then gave me an ''was that so hard'' attitude, that along with their outrageous admission price and prices to register a truck are out of lie. btw in NY you need insurance to get plates so its not like I had no insurance, just some bitch felt the need to flex her muscles

I pulled corporate sponsorship away from them back in the early 2000's because of the prevalent closeminded ideology of the then administration officials. Never went back.

I volunteered in registration at a couple of shows and we were told that entry required proof of insurance and a fire extinguisher. People were moved to the side until they had proof. There were no ifs, ands or buts; no insurance-no entry.

You know I wasn’t going to completely vent but since you put it that way I told them to stuff it a few years ago.....I mentioned earlier.... but I was walking around the main casino with a Fedex uniform on and I have never been so snubbed in my life anywhere .....couldn’t get a hi or a nod or a smile out of anyone in there most of them wearing aths hats.....oooooooooooh there’s a surprise....when I get to my layover hotel in Orange County just about everyone talks to me.....like wow man.....what’s up with that??????lol...thanks for being on the same page..: only thing I can say about them is they bring old truck owners together ....started on a 2 stick and still own one ....and didn’t feel welcome at all in my own town.....idiots ....thanks for coming to Reno,,,,,,,,,now (GET OUT) assclowns......bob

I wish you could make it to Macungie Bob, there's an entirely different attitude.

Might as well put my 2 cents in- I went to an ATHS Show in Winchester in 2005 or 2006, took lots of pictures, sent them to Old Bill. He scanned them- this was before I even had a digital camera,  I had a 35mm Nikon film camera- and put them on his website, and added a link to the ATHS website. Somebody, don't remember who, I think it was Mike somebody, from the ATHS contacted me, wanted me and Old Bill both to come to Winchester the next year- on them. They said they also wanted me to take the pictures again. I said that'd be great!

Didn't hear from them for a while, then when I asked about what they had said before they were like "who the hell are you?".

I did send them pictures from different shows for their website after that, several times, but nobody ever even said thanks for the pictures or anything, and they were posted by some other guy, can't remember his name either or i'd call it, as if they were his own. So now I read the magazine when it comes, but I don't send them anything at all.

Producer of poorly photo-chopped pictures since 1999.

Bob,

Sorry we did not connect and sorry you did not have a "swingin' time".  If I knew you did not have a "pass" you could have borrowed the wifey's.

My 3 cents on ATHS...I been to three (3) shows with the MH and NEVER ONCE did I need to show nor asked for the vehicle insurance or registration.  Interesting!  And don't get me started on the "show rules" and the number of "violations" I observed.  And another thing, I never saw so many "service" dogs as in Reno (even in restaurants and supermarkets).

On the positive side, lots of nice looking vehicles, most an "east coaster" would never see otherwise.

Saw MHfred, Brocky, and 75T.  Also Dave from Keystone Truck Museum.

Make a note, Macungie is always Father's Day weekend (Thursday - Saturday).  Many vehicles leave on Saturday afternoon so Friday and Saturday are the best days to attend.  FYI, there is no spectator fee.

Hope to see you at Watt's show in August.

Take care!

I kinda figure they are like televangelists. They need lots of funding from distant sources to continue their operation. Support the few, fuck the masses. Lots of hypocrites in that organization for sure.

Sorry to hear all that BS, hope you enjoyed the trucks and met people you liked to communicate with.

The trucks you posted are really great. Very nice and interesting day cab KW cabover.

Thanks for sharing.
