Truck has a 427 e7 truck loses prime when it sits some times right after you shut it off . Then you need to prime it . You can here the fuel run back into tank after you shut truck off .  Would a bad injectors  cause sometimes it smokes really bad after it sits a day or so guy is say in injector is leaking into cly causing the smoke .

Sounds like a bad fuel hose to me..

Agree with tech I would replace all the plastic line in that circuit And the orings on the jumper line between the  heads they sometimes  cause grief as well!
