Barry Delong 0 Posted January 12 Truck has a 427 e7 truck loses prime when it sits some times right after you shut it off . Then you need to prime it . You can here the fuel run back into tank after you shut truck off . Would a bad injectors cause sometimes it smokes really bad after it sits a day or so guy is say in injector is leaking into cly causing the smoke . Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Mack Technician 710 Posted January 13 (edited) It’s usually the small fuel return line from the front top barb fitting of your front head. Return lines and suction lines can go bad and not show much leakage. Pressure lines will show. I just fixed a 98 V-II with the little inj spill line leaking at the connection at head. Same symptom. The overflow on those is a flow-thru restricted office, so any leakage of air upstream is a trouble maker. Don’t worry about a bit of start up smoke so long as you go clean and stay clean.
