41chevy 9,031 Posted December 14, 2018 I have a use for a crane to re drum my mixer, do 30 pre fab foundations and eventually pre fab wall panels. Replace the duals with Super Singles and it will work on the beaches to do the sea wall / jetty jobs I have in the spring So drove down to the snowy land of Danville Va to look at a 6x6 AWD 5ton M819 rotator wrecker. Just under 16k miles 2 year old DOD re manufacture. All I would need to do is a set of out riggers to replace the ones it once had. $26,500. Made them a cash offer and will know by Monday. gxbxc 119 Posted January 7 If that is a picture of the truck you want the out riggers are on it now just manual not the hydraulic we have become use to. The Army did a lot of things with manpower.
Quickfarms 194 Posted January 7 This actually looks like a M816 not a M819The op may be referring to the ground spades that were typically carried on top of the boom
41chevy 9,031 Posted January 7 The unit is tagged M819 but it appears to be incorrect by the rear body, To me all that matters is it does what I need. The manual stabilizers are not complete they are cut and tack welded on the pockets. I'll add a set of back hoe style to the rear where I need them. I don't have the ground spade for it was kept by the depot. Rear and front winches had no wire rope and are already removed along the front bumper assembly and in the container.
