He is doing well domestically but his foreign policy sucks.

Not defending Trumps influence on the trade war, but as for Harley...It was time to go. They are going to try to reinvent themselves on fresh turf, hope it works and creates an outlet for the stateside factory group. 

Have two Harley plants a few miles up the road. Most body works/paint are coming out of Tomahawk. They have been stumbling since 2008. Retired out and bought-out a large % of union workers then brought in $10 per hour casual workers.

Threatened to move out of Tomahawk to hamstring the union at negotiations and it worked..... total bluff, lol, “Offer in Kentucky” never existed. 

Pabst Blue Ribbon reinvented itself amongst southern Californian college millennials. Saved themselves. Maybe Harley will find itself in Europe?

Post ‘08 we snatched up enough overstock to give away a new Sportster with every used Mack purchased from our dealership. The leftovers were offer to us employees for $5k a piece.

I have three H.D.'s a 1950 Hydra Glide pop bought new, a 1971 XLH I bought new and a 1986 Softtail Custom I bought new plus my wifes 883 Sporty.  Went to the Harley dealer in Richmond on my '50  just to look, first thing the millennial  salesman said to me was "are you trading in that old pile of shit for a good bike?"  I suggested that is not to cozy up to someone who's been riding only Harley Davidsons for over 50 years and stick with a career asking if they want fries with their order. Pulled a roll out and told the manager that Honda Boy just cost you a cash sale on two bikes. Was still yelling at the Millennia F' k up when I pull out of the lot.  There attitude got them where they are today by catering to the group that buys a 20 grand bike on credit and 10 grand worth of clothes to look "bad" and pis on the loyal ones. . . kinda like Volvo does to the  Mack owners like us.

I had lots of different bike brands and I owned and rode 56 and 49 pans 1934 vld 1940 8o" flathead 1963 sportster 76 92" shovel 2006 107" twin cam and when I was a kid I rode a ridged frame 125 harley in the woods as one of my dirtbikes. I then turned to bmws what a change in the way you lived with the bikes.I don't want to bash Harley but   Harley has the sound but is and never will be a super bike.I wish some one fresh would of took over and did a revamp of their lineup.

Politics ,money and religion 

All three start fights always have, always will 

I believe this is because we believe everyone can believe what ever they want as it doesnt effect everyone else, do what you want 

And as for money, it should never be spoken of as you never know how someone else is going 

Thats the free country I live in and come from

Very different from the US 

But I dont have a problem with people talking these things on here as it is a US based forum 

But be aware there is nothing to stop people from other parts of the world with vastly different views than the US starting to talk about things as well

I love the Harley "costumes" people buy and put on to ride their bike. We always said Harley could take a clown costume, put their name on it and guys would still wear it out riding or to bars. That being said, my favorite bike was, believe it or not was a 2007 1200 sporty I had. Best sounding, aftermarket seat was awesome and power up the ass.

I like to be able to come on certain forums and read what everyone has to say about what is going on in this country- except that commie pinko gearheadgirlllllll or whatever the heck her name was. My  old JD , the '40 ULA,  '46  knuclehead and '48 WLA all rode and sounded just like the new one and didn't really ride much different. Bought a 650 Triumph years ago and also bought a Honda CBX run rings around my H.D.'s just didn't like them the way  you sat on them. Even had a Buell with the V-Rod twin for a few years no better than my 71 Sporty.  My personal feelings are ride what you like, don't bash other riders choices and get along with other riders.    Paul

 I'd only had Hondas - a '74 360, a '75 or '76 500, and Kawasakis- a 750 and an LTD1000. That LTD1000 was a super nice bike, 4 cyl, very powerful, very, very fast, ran smooth as a clock. A friend of mine that I worked with was strictly a Harley man, and he always said I should get a Harley. 

I told him I couldn't afford a Harley, and the Kawasaki was paid for. This was right around the time the 883 Sportster first came out, and I liked the looks, and they weren't too expensive. So him and I rode to Lynchburg to the Harley Davidson dealer one day. I was "just looking", not there to buy, but who knows?  So my friend knew the owner and he asked him "will you take this Kawasaki on trade for one of the Sportsters?"

And the man said "yeah, just like he ain't got one."

And that was all I needed to hear. I left on my Kawasaki, and never went back. Kept the Kawasaki until I sold it and bought a 69 Ford pickup.

It's just no way to talk to a potential customer, putting their bike down. Truth be known, it was probably a far better bike than any Harley he had anyway.

I had an old honda 750 those japs really know how to make them reliable. I had a 63 sportster xlch mag ignition no battery I rode that for over 9 years and up to me getting a spyder that was the bike I liked the best.

If this is not what you want to hear then don't read this thread no more/Too many people enjoy our freedom but will not lend a finder to keep it.Also for as talking about Gods word that is a commandment from the Lord to go forth and spread his word.Are you against that also?
