I think either a recording syncronized to the throttle of a P&W R-4360, or Wright R-3350 would fit the bill for effects. If you've never been around those engines they make a sound you'll not soon forget.

Seem to recall some gimmick you plug into your lighter that made race car sounds.    Maybe it was just a spoof on YouTube?

That is a cool sounding motor, but being raised hearing a 673 running I would rather hear the Mack. Strictly nostalgia.
