Sensing a potential dilemma,I call my Cardinal agent Bob who is also my best friend, and he asks "don't you have a teamster card?" "Yeah but it's been expired for years! I say" Hide the year with your finger and ask if you can back in the other guys trucks!" They said ok and I did! What a bunch of nonsense! At the time I had a TS-24 Euclid and got the contract, as an owner/operator I was union exempt, the IUOE guys were cool with that and we got along just fine. BUT... some token woman teamster on the water truck had an issue and brought in Jimmy Hoffa's boys. It was all spelled out in the contract who I was and why I was there, but the job got shut down for a day while the thugs reread the contract over and over. Eventually reading comprehension prevailed. But those idiots were ready to have their people strike on that. Oh... wait the teamsters were pissed because a bunch of dump trucks couldn't have that job.
