The collector cars understandably get a lot of attention, but every day at a Barrett-Jackson event starts off with the auction of some impressive pieces of the past. At this morning’s Automobilia Auction, history was made as an extremely rare circa 1939 Husky Gasoline service station sign (Lot #8901) sold for an incredible $149,500 – setting a new world record for a 30-inch double-sided porcelain sign. The sign is one of only a handful known to exist, and is the first to ever have been offered at public auction.
