Maddog13407 2,193
cracked on the middle part beneath the carb? common spot for them. most I have, and have seen have been welded.
Doug T B42X 10
That's the spot! This one looked like it had been welded also. I have not removed it yet, but the exhaust pipe flange is not connected.

KKERGALL 26
What is the P/N# on manifold you need I.E. 104GC??
Doug T B42X 10
Bulldogchaser - thank you; I should have an idea as soon as I get the old one off and will let you know, then see if you still have it available. Kkergall - Yes, and I am assuming I will change the whole assembly. 104GC 439A (Rear) 104 GC 440A (Front) and 104 GC 4157 (Center). That is, if it cannot be welded. Doug T B42X 10
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. According to the book I have (Parts List 2342; for B42IT, for EN401 Engine) it has the same part numbers. If it cannot be welded, I would be looking for one also. Thank you. I just started the truck the other day and it ran fine, so the Exhaust Manifold is the only thing holding it back.
Mack58B42 125
Doug T - did you ever find an exhaust manifold? Beatngu just posted that he's getting rid of a dead 401 in a truck he has - might have a good one for you on it.....
beatngu 102
Indeed it does I just pulled the engine out today, first come first serve.

Rob 2,175
Would you post up a photo of your broken manifold? I'd like to see if I could repair it. My "spare" 401 engine does not have an exhaust manifold installed. Quote Plodding along with no job nor practical application for my existence, but still trying to fix what's broke. Doug T B42X 10
Here are two. Let me know if you need more. Thanks for your consideration.
Rob 2,175
That I feel can be repaired. If you can do without the manifold a couple of weeks and want to send it to me I'd like to see it closer.
