Is that an air horn valve hanging by the door hinge? I've never seen one like that.

Reminds me of the old flush chains with a handle like that on old navy ships.

"Pull Handle" appears to be .50 cal casing, note WWII Pineapple shifter knob. Don't see bungee cord on passenger door. Cool old truck!

Just looked at pictures again, yup, has a bungee cord holding the door handle back so it doesn't fall open?

 

I thought bungees holding the door closed was a Freightliner thing????

The single stick?  Hmm, wonder if it is a 237/5spd in it?

all the way back is usually the 'lock' position. most b models use to stay back when you pulled the handle back. after years of abuse they wear out.  or maybe he lives in a less desireable neighborhood
