Flying U Posted June 16, 2017 Share Posted June 16, 2017 I have a 2003 mack granite has the 460 in it, the oil temp is very hot bringing the coolant temp up to the point the overheating alarm comes on. dgcrabbs Posted June 18, 2017 Share Posted June 18, 2017 I have a 2005 CX 613 Vision with an AC460P that I've had 9 years and it seems to always run hot. There is a screen the size of a baby bottle inside the radiator hose where it connects to the oil cooler. The additive in the water filter has a tendency to collect on this wire screen and set up like a calcium deposit. Mine is running hot right now & I am going to check this first. I found out about this because the guy I bought this truck from had put in a can of Bars-leak and guess where it all collected ! That's when I found out how much EGR coolers cost because it overheated & warped the EGR cooler Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
