Willie dog Posted April 26, 2017 Share Posted April 26, 2017 It's time to turn attention to the engine and transmission. Anyone know the color of an EN401 engine? The tanker truck engine looks like it was a pale gold. Also what type of hose clamps would it have had originally? I've searched for some pictures but can't see any clamps. Maddog13407 Posted April 27, 2017 Share Posted April 27, 2017 the early 401's were black. I think around 57 or so they started painted them the blue gray common color. I think most has standard hose clamps except the bypass smaller hose on the water pump back to the thermostat housing had weird clamps.
