firenut Posted March 17, 2017 Share Posted March 17, 2017 Hello All! Looking for some help. I just had my 707 engine rebuilt and need to install the fuel pump push rod. It has a notch in it and I am not sure which direction to insert it. Any assistance is appreciated. This is also cross posted in the engines section. russell t Posted March 19, 2017 Share Posted March 19, 2017 (edited) I have a 1937 CF 468 flat head engine in a BM truck and the push rod looks similar, runs of a lobe on the distributor drive with the fuel pump located on the opposite side side of the cyl. block. I haven't had any luck in locating the fuel pump that bolts to the side of the block similar to your picture. I know this is not helping you but any suggestion would be helpful. russell t Posted March 19, 2017 Share Posted March 19, 2017 (edited) that is probably what I will end up doing but the tried and trouble free diaphragm pump would be my preference. trying to regulate the pressure of the electric is one more thing to deal with. fxfymn Posted March 20, 2017 Share Posted March 20, 2017 Fuel pressure regulators are easy to come by and adjust. Put a gauge on it, set the desired pressure, and you are done.
