Steinbauer performance module in AI 460?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2005 CV 713 Granite with AI 460 and 18 speed in a quad axle dump truck. Weight is around 73300 lb. Inframe 40000 miles ago. Running in very hilly country. Does anyone have experience with the Steinbauer module, does it work as advertised, will it put too much stress on the engine?

I have a 2006 cv713 granite with ai 460, mack 10spd , and 435 gears in a tri axle dump. Same no power engine, and bad mpg. I was getting low 4 mpg on highway.  Last year, I put Rochester's stage 2 injectors and their Granite turbo kit and an area diesel module in it. The results were night and day. It's like a whole new truck compared to what it was. Mpg went up to mid 5s on highway. It smokes when you are on it and I have to watch the EGT on long pulls . Hope this info helps.

Thanks for your response. Approximately how much did this cost? How many miles have you put on truck since you  upgraded it? That fuel savings should help pay for the upgrade.

The injectors and turbo kit was about $3200.00. The module was $1000.00. I put about 21000 miles on it . I also put new exhaust on it  5 inch from turbo all the way thru the dual muffler stacks cost $1100 that lowered the egt some.

Should do all this to my 05 with the 370. Even with 4.46 gears and tall 24s it's incredibly gutless.
