Tag or Pusher axle

it really depends on the area of the country you are in as to what the axle between the drives and cab is called.

 

but technically it is a pusher, and when behind the drives it is called a tag.

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

We call them both tags around here. About the only time I hear pusher is on forums like this.

It does make sense that a tag axle would tag along behind but if you say pusher around here people will just look at you funny.

Here on D udder side of the world they can B called many things

specially when back in into a slot from the Road n the axle hangs U up hi n dry try n to get traction

LOL

In front of  drive axle ' Pusher axle'

B Hind drive axle  'Lazy Axle'

az well az all the above mentioned

Some were mounted an a weak set of springs with no oscillation linked from drive axle
