Our 2014 mp8 is running hot again. It looks like it will get its 4th fan clutch. Is there a better option than the borg warner junk that keeps failing?

Check the water pump as well if you havnt already.  The impeller may be spinning on the shaft as it heats up. B.W. Fans are a pain.

They are claiming something shorted out on the throttle and something else and those shorted out the fan clutch. I don't buy it. Does that sound feasible to any of you?

We change all of the Borg Warner Cool Logic fan clutches out for the smaller Behr Fan clutches. Also the Horton 2 speed air fan clutches  work good but more stuff to add on and ECM reprogram to go to the Horton I believe.  With the Behr you buy the fan blade, clutch and hub and bolt it on and plug it in and go.
