Just in need of being restored and brought up to new condition. The engine needs rebuilt its tired. the rest of the truck is in pretty fine condition other than the weather stripping and such. More later just wanted to say hello I Live in the Fairbanks area and am a Heavy equipment Mechanic and driver for a oil field North Slope supply company. Also work in the construction Industry. Our sentiments as well the Whole state Voted for them but were a no account state Lousy 3 electoral votes here.we didnt even get counted, befor they were aready announcing obamanations victory. Ya know how it got its name right??????well for those that dont.. This is true story.. the old timers in the gold rush that went over there was gonna name it Ptarmigan (after the state bird)BUT the truth of it is. the old timers couldnt settle on how it was spelled. So they just gave up and called it CHICKEN... that is a true story.Its just kinda Like Prudhoe Bay.. its not the name of the (town)/ Community) up there,, as if it were even a town But the Real name is DEAD HORSE. thats the Name of the Post Office there, Dead Horse Alaska. I like the story about the name Deadhorse coming about in the early days of oil exploration on the North Slope when the companies asked about airlift capabilities and Wien Airlines said they could handle anything, including a dead horse. Barry came through again!! so I changed my USER NAME to ARCTICMACK. just like my email on here as well. so incase anyone is confused who this guy is, its me. rec409 I had a brain fart when I logged into this site the first time,and didnt really give any thought to the name I would use on here. so I asked Barry to change it for me After the excitment of this site wore off. and I came to me senses. So anyways there ya have it. Ps Im taking lots of pictures here guys In Texas getting our oversize camp loads here to take up to Prudhoe Bay. Getting the Last truck loaded here tomorrow morning, and heading outta town Hopefully be fore the evening Cerfew. then we have to shut done for the night. No running at night (that sucks).. at lease here in Texas. I cant post pics without my Pc so Ill have to wait till I get either near one that does it for me Or, something. Later guysRobert.
