Popular Post JTFormula 733
With absolute regret I have to put the General up for sale. 6 Months ago my boss retired and I found myself unemployed. I started my own thing over the last 5 months and now I am officially a business. With this comes more responsibility and expenses. Unfortunately this means a few of the "extra" toys have to go. This being one of them. I am sad and sick in the stomach to put the General up for sale. My main goal was to get it road worthy and bring it to Macungie. I never got to take it to any show. Which is why the decision was made to put it up for sale. The specs:1984 GMC General 5-StarSilver 8v92 Detroit Diesel13-Speed Roadranger12k Front Axle38k Rear Axle4.10 GearsRayco SuspensionPower DiverterPTO and Wetline KitPower SteeringFactory A/C - Needs workAir Ride Drivers SeatAM/FM RadioExtra HoodNew Fuel Pump in Sept 2015, 4 New Battery's in 2013, New Kysor Valve, New taillights, Clutch Brake also replaced less than 100 miles ago, Just serviced - filters, oil, lube, drive belts. etc. $Thousands invested! Popular Post DCR 174
Sorry to hear about the General. In life we have to make emotional decisions and business decision and you just made a business decision. I know what you are going thru, I felt the same way when I sold my 2000 Mack Vision. Business decisions can be heart wrenching. 3 Quote Denny330-550-6020A "Mack Pack" Charter Member

bulldog man 182
Hate to Hear ya have to part ways with the General . But in time i'm sure another Project will come along to Restore .The one thing i do like about some states unlike here in TN Is after a Commercial truck gets a certain age like a personal vehicle is you can put antique tags & insurance on it .Such is not the case here as i tried to do the same years ago to my namesake & dad's ole B Model.Good Luck in your new Endeavor 1 Quote You Cant Fix Stupid. Popular Post 1958 F.W.D. 3,728
No regrets pal. You were a bulldog that chomped into the ass of this project and didn't let go until you had the truck. You made a valiant effort- you need to sell because it's the right thing to do for you at this time. Holding onto it may drag you down financially and no one wants that of course. Keep your head high knowing you pulled it from a potential scrapper's death. 5 Quote TWO STROKES ARE FOR GARDEN TOOLS
JTFormula 733
Randy, You got that right. I'm also hoping it goes to a guy in the hobby, and not someone who will tear it up. My job was to rescue it. The next owner I'm hoping will to take it to that next level. If that happens, I'll be happy. 1 Quote ~ JT Burkard ~ AKA Sweaty Mackwww.jtresto.com www.wickedreputation.netwww.jonathanthomasmotorcars.com

JTFormula 733
It has a Jake on it too I assume? No Jake. I wishWell the end of an era has happened. The General sold yesterday. I am actually sad it went but it did go to a good home in NY State. More importantly is that the new owner has a large garage to keep it out of the weather and it's going to live a retired life pulling a trailer of restored John Deere tractors to shows and probably going to bring it to some truck shows too. I would be lying if I said I didn't shed a tear as I watched it roll on to the highway on the low boy when they left. 2 Quote ~ JT Burkard ~ AKA Sweaty Mackwww.jtresto.com www.wickedreputation.netwww.jonathanthomasmotorcars.com
