That looks like it could be a good project. When they say "aluminum frame" is that full aluminum rails and cross members? Do they ever have issues?

Unfortunatly i have to stay away from this deal. Truck looks really nice and it's more then a fair deal I think. The reason is that the main parts i'm looking for thst almost every western mack had is different on this one.

Good luck to anyone else, thanks for the pictures Doctorbuys.

Looks like steel crossmembers, frame looks in good shape

Where are those pictures?

Water in oil means needs motor redone and V-8 parts are expensive so maybe $1500 is more inline.

That's about scrap price and looks like it is maybe missing stuff from the one picture and would probably just be a donor. I doubt it would be restored unless Re- powered with something else. Than doesn't that detract from the value? Being in Idaho also creates a dilemma on transportation since so far for most folks.

Bigdogtrucker why don't you get it and use it for your parts truck. You can hire me to go get it once my trailer is out of the shop I only charge $1 per mile from my house I figure using Google maps kc to Idaho to ga back to kc should be around $4000

That's one clean looking R700, insane to me to call it a parts truck. I've seen guys go nuts on here over other 700's all rotted and beat to death how they should be saved.

Nice video, post more pictures so we can have a good look.

So you found oil in the radiator mixed with the antifreeze correct?

Shipping is the deal killer I would be right on that if it didn't cost almost double the purchase price to get it here but I would go in with some one to buy it I need the cab and could use a spare hood.

Price sounds right to me. Maybe it just needs an oil cooler. Might be worse but for the price that isn't bad. I paid 3000 for my RS700 with a good V8 in it but it needed a cab and the frame needed taken all apart on account of rust. I wish it were closer because I'd buy it in a minute.

Thanks , Josh

Oil cooler is what I was thinking had one go out in a 250 cummins dumped engine oil into the cooling system ran a bit warmer than usual but never overheated.
