I wanted one of those Rossi trucks bad, just didn't have the means at the time. I think they were asking $80,000 for the truck and trailer together. Not a bad deal at all. What would a comparable rig run today? $180,000? My biggest concern was if you'd have 18 new dry rotted tires to replace.

My problem was, I wanted them just to look at, lol

I thought I heard the went for $84,000 for the combo.

I wish I had the money!!!!

I have always heard the story that Bruce Nagel has two brand new 80's R models sitting in one of his shops. Does anyone know if this is true?

That still don't add up. In the US, FET is collected at the first retail sale. Unless the person(s) who consigned this truck to the auction is/was a Mack dealer, the tax should have been collected. I'm sure there is a reasonable explanation. Stuff like this intrigues me..!

Well a little……..actually a lot, out of my price range. Hope it's going to a good home.

$120,000 thats $ 153,484 in Canadian $$

Myself, I think it is worth it. You can't just buy that anywhere.

Congrats to the new owner

120,000 plus 12% FET and 8.5 sales tax and $950.00 to the auction house, $145,550 out the door.

Silly to pay that kind of money. No different than any other 2004 RD model. At the end of the day its still 11 years old. I can take an RD and make it look like a legend series for a lot less money.
