The U Model Thread. Or porn for Vinny.

Recommended Posts

Spotted at a sign shop in Myerstown, PA on Saturday. Freshly restored U-Model. The owner is a former Trans Con Driver from the area. I cruised on by and had to hook a U-ie. Great gentlemen to talk to, didn't get his name, as I was already running late. He bought it from a farmer in Allentown, PA. He plans on taking to Gerhart's this year.

Thats one nice U model.

From the H. Transcon U-models were ex Wilson tractors after they went bankrupt. The tandems were powered with Cummins

VT-903's. Not sure about the single axles. I think Wilson bought about 400 U models. :bulldog1: It seems that there last purchases were S model IH's. They bought white road bosses after the COE freightliners.

So what is so "new" about an "offset cab" :) To those of you from Central Mass, from the "Gargolinski Collection". This was an??LJWS???

LMSW-L logging unit, also made a LMSW-M that had an LJ radiator.

Wow. Drop an axle on the first ad and the pic could almost be Vinny's.

The V-8 I think was / is owned by a member here. Vinny would most likely know

And that does look a lot like mine but its a U686, has a 300.

Yeah, those V-8 U models are pretty awesome. Can't buy nothing else after the Chrysler til we get all moved to Virginia. :(

How's this for U model porn:

"Dear Penthouse,

I never thought this would happen to me. I'm a travelling salesman and stopped at a bar while on a business trip recently. Right before closing time, I was approached by a beautiful young U model with with large, perky (albeit lopsided)........"

Sorry, I'm having trouble staying focused, but you get the picture.

Here's a decent looking one from TruckPaper:

Similar to my story, but I was a student at a small college at an undisclosed location somewhere in the midwest when it happened to me.

Producer of poorly photo-chopped pictures since 1999.
