Where is the dipstick on my E-6-250 2V?

Recommended Posts

Ok, So I've been working on things and needed to move the truck so I put some stuff back together. I wanted to check the oil level for good measure and there is no dipstick anywhere on it. I grabbed a light and looked it all over, both sides, high and low...nowhere can I see where it is or where it should be. IT is a replacement engine which was put in around '84. I'm told it is a 2 valve E6-250 and has a turbo. It has the oil cooler on the left side and the turbo hangs up high on the right side.

Any ideas? Stupid question but I seriously don't see it.

Thanks

Greg

Yep, right side towards the air compressor, its probably black or rusty and itll blend in for sure, Mack has never been good at making easily visible oil dipsticks.

If it is the tube that comes up over the top of the compressor in the picture, mines gone! It isn't there at all...I've got to see if the hole is there or blocked up or what. The only fill port is in the top of the front valve cover too. Thanks guys.
