Turbo for early 350

Recommended Posts

Yes I did. We were high bidder the first time it was listed. Made them an offer, they relisted it. We came to terms. Lol. Now I need more parts. Thank you for the turbo info.

Did I read on here somewhere that the R in a hp rating means its a 350 for a 5 or 6 speed? as oppose to a standard 350 set up for say a ten or 13 speed. example E6 315R instead of a E6 315

to my knowledge.there was never a 350 or 300+ either for that matter, made for use with Maxitorque direct 5 and 6 speeds. I've seen and heard " I had one of them 300+ with a 5 speed" so many times when in fact its just a plain old 676 300 series.I ain't saying that someone has never cobbled them together, but it wouldn't work for shit.

We ran/run R models with 350 6 speeds. just as good as the 350 12 speed combo except no stupid air stuff to deal with

That stupid air splitter was their best move ever! And I never seen a factory 350 with a six speed.

Dont get me wrong air splitters are good things just when the truck dont want to move because its too cold and having air lines/valves to deal with just makes a manual trans nice
