b61mack Posted February 12, 2014 Share Posted February 12, 2014 The first truck I drove for my dad was a 67 F 700, 250 Cummins, 10 speed roadranger, 4.17 rears. we also had a 69 F 700 with a 335 Cummins, 13 speed roadranger. the 69 had a nice shiny black paint job, chrome grille, mirrors, bumper. wish we still had it. It's "The Sick Puppy"obviously it's got to be a garbage truck. When I bought the truck around 1990, it was a short wheelbase tractor w/fifth wheel. I had the frame stretched and installed an 18' flat bed to haul my restored 1962 Cockshutt 570 Super. Drove a mid 60's B-70, 707, quadplex, S/A dump with a V plow and wing a few times but was not my regular truck. That was my first truck I had to work with. 6'' straight pipe flat black , the side windows are tinted so black that it's impossible to see in the truck. I had 2 6'' strip made on both winshield , one on top one at the bottom. That's the way my truck was looking every day. The first Mack I actually made a living with was this 1972 R-685 which I ran from South Jersey to Binghampton,NY 5-6 nights a week.
