r686st 156
I'm curious as to how often this needs to be done? I think all rears 44k and larger require lubrication isn't that right?

2stacksuperdog 4,122
Our Rd has originals on the driver side with 400K+ miles on it and its a 2001. We replaced the passenger side when we replaced the spring and everything on that side of the truck. Quote Matt
r686st 156
How much do you put in it? Will it run out somewhere once you have enough grease in it?

jakebrake86 440
I try to grease my truck at least once a week, and I always just put 10-15 shots in the trunnion. I've heard that you're supposed to jack the truck up where the weight is off of the springs, but I never do that. I may be messing up, I'm not sure. Quote Jake
farm truck 613 35
I grease all my trucks a least every oil change
theakerstwo 866
My truck is a dump truck and grease the trunion ever week and all others ever two weeks. The grease is cheaper than the trunion and bushings Quote glenn akers
slpwlker 715
Always been told. Grease is cheap
rsb502 1,679
Like they said grease is cheap, I did my dump trucks weekly, road trucks every two or three weeks unless the weather was funky. Bad weather or I was hauling the dump trailer off road then weekly. Highly recommend a EP or Extreme Pressure grease, as it will continue to lubricate the bushing to shaft surface even under extreme loading.
